Marys Peak #2

I have a new emulsion, called "Warm ♥".  It is a little warmer than 'I ♥', but more important, it has a nicer color without selenium toning.  'I " is Cl/Br/I emulsion and has the faintest greenish tint to it without toning. With a little selenium it is the exact color I want, but toning doesn't seem necessary for the gum-overs, and I think having a warmer emulsion lets me eliminate the 'highlights' layer.  I could just make the original print on a warmer paper (e.g. Fabriano Traditional) but for now I like keeping the variables limited.  There isn't much difference between the 's at this stage and I will be trying to push the warmth farther on my next batch.

Camera: Pentax K10, 21mm lens.  Pictorico OHP film, Epson 2400 printer.  Daniel Smith watercolors and gum arabic.  Potassium dichromate sensitizer.  UVB photo flood exposure.  Note:  I neglected to flip the image when I made the original negative and decided to play it through.

"Warm ♥" silver gelatin emulsion, "Defender Dwr" developer.  Fabriano Artistico X-White watercolor paper.
